Everyone needs a melodica. I always like to think of it as a more accessible concertina or accordion. One day I’ll buy a bass melodica but they ain’t cheap.

Exactly. If you think about it, it is an accordian only with your mouth supplying the air rather than a bellows. And they are damn cheap (the plastic ones; I know there are handmade wooden ones which are understandably pricey)
