Natural dye educator uses plant dyes to turn fabrics into beautiful and functional works of art

Unclear how well these hold up in the wash.

Well, at least it’s a DIFFERENT reason to toss a garment after three wears.

I think they hold up pretty well. My mom plays around with natural dies a fair bit (she also spins and weaves). I think it can take a lot of trial and error to find the right concentration and colors, but I haven’t heard her mention the dyes fading or running. It’s entirely possible that she’s never washed anything she’s dyed, but I don’t think so.
