I never had issues like this. My parents moved out 30 years ago, my sister moved out 40 years ago. The room where the 24 cbm oil tank used to be is now my archive vault.
I’ll probably move to Austria in ten years or so; I should start preparing for this sometime soon-ish.
I don’t want my children sifting through my stuff and not knowing what to do with it while knowing it’s not “valuable”.
