Uh, well, there is the ease with which they can interbreed with domestic cats. For example, this derpy pretzel is 12.5% Serval:
He’s not a normal kitteh, but he’s getting less challenging as he’s exiting the teenager years.
Doesn’t answer why the subject, 100% Serval was found with coke in its system. Maybe animal control is where all those terribly inaccurate test kits from the late 90’s/early 00’s ended up? Those kits yielded ridiculously high numbers of false-positives.
