I was watching “Crossing Delancey” (from about 1988) earlier this week, and there was mention of either the Guerilla Girls or some fictional group that immediately made me think of them.

I’ve seen it before, and it stars Amy Irving, but seeing it this week, it comes across like a small independent film. The Guerilla Girl (or clone) reference seemed to put it out of the mainstream. It’s a bit like an early “You’ve Got Mail”, an upper west side bookstore, and a hip literary world.
