All Richards’ publicity photos give strong uncanny-valley vibes.

I agree, I don’t know if it’s with hindsight bias or not but he has the smarmiest off-putting look on his face.

The idea has been right in front of us the whole time:

HA! Let’s see you totter around in Vanna’s high heels!

(I couldn’t do it and I’m female)

[ETA: I do apologize for assuming that you are male. For all I know, Chuck may V well be a nickname for Celeste or Clementine.]

What is this then? The automatic co-pilot is wearing a cheese head. I have to suppose this is something to do with the Milwaukee Bucs.

I get your point, but bad example. Tomatoes are wonderful in fruit salad, provided you choose your other fruits carefully. I highly recommend watermelon and peaches.

I didn’t watch, but from what I’v heard through internet grapevine, this is pretty much the general opinion. We wanted him, but he didn’t really deliver.

At least he wrote a good resignation letter. Or someone wrote it for him.

How about Cheech Marín? He won the first Celebrity Jeopardy in 1992 and made it into the final in 2010. He’s both smart and funny and tends to be humble about himself.

So…we’re not even considering Will Ferrel?

WI Tourism did an “Airplane” themed commercial a few years ago, I think mainly because the (WI native) Zucker brothers were willing to be involved.

And this, folks, is why you should never say anything that might jeopardize your career down the line. It just might cost you your dream job.

I came across this coverage of the Jeopardy host fiasco, and I found this little tidbit:

Richards said a search for a new host will begin again, with guest hosts returning to continue production for the new season, he said in the note.

Begin again?

Do we have any evidence Hodgman would even like to do it?

Somehow I don’t imagine him being interested in a quiz show role.

Personally I’m much happier with him continuing to produce the podcast, Dicktown and the occasional Get Your Pets.

Yah, got it thanks. Everyone’s pedantry unrelated to my point has been duly noted.
