I concur, while it may be a triple-boing, my Thursday is thus brightened.

For me this was a First Boing…nice sound, but (to be picky) with the exception of the theremin none of these instruments are particular to the 1930s. Zithers, dulcimers, glasses, saws, etc. had been around long before then and haven’t disappeared since.

I think it’s less “all these instruments are particular to the 1930s”, and more “none of these instruments were impossible in the 1930s”.

It’s like: here is a piece of music performed on instruments of the 19th century. But, you reply, violins and flutes are much older than the 19th century, and they’re still used today! Yes, I reply, but it’s not like there are crumhorns or Fender stratocasters in there, are there. The point stands.
