NYP is trash, and it has been for many years. However they do occasionally come out with a very funny headline, such as when Noriega was arrested: Pineapple In The Can. and the classic, Headless Body Found In Topless Bar. The headline @SpunkyTWS showed is actually the NYP paying homage to themselves for that one.

They consider it proof that we need a police state, hence putting it on the front page to gain support for a more authoritarian state… As @Brainspore noted, the NYP is more propaganda than anything else.
