I can understand why the editors would be cautious about using the term “Palestine”, as readers might assume it’s currently a nation-state when in reality it’s a prospective state (one that could and should exist alongside the State of Israel – any sort of one-state solution is a dangerous fantasy).
“Refugee camps” and “occupied territory”, though? Those are facts on the ground in the West Bank and areas surrounding Israel.
“Genocide” is a defined legal concept, not merely euphemistic.
