'No Gays Allowed' in this East Tennessee hardware store

Someone on another comment forum suggested an additional way to mess with this sort…call up the store (or visit) and determine what brands of goods he sells. Then call those companies’ attention to the fact that they are publicly doing business with this hatemonger. Companies can then choose to withdraw from supplying him or having to stand alongside Chik-Fil-A. See how fast his supply, inventory, and business dwindle.

They don’t even follow American Jesus, they follow Redneck American Jesus.

I’ve got it from a pretty trustable source that home depot is already the favored choice of many many homosexual women (except one I know who gets soundly mocked by her peers for being totally helpless on the home repairs front).

(not to mention that they actually sponsor pride events etc…)

it is the sex that God can’t see… i.e. the “poophole loophole”.

Some of my happiest childhood memories were spent in a summer camp in East Tennessee near Ozone Falls, which is gorgeous and just a beautiful place to hike.

Yeah, I really am all for a road trip to East Tennessee.

And of course there’s also Dollywood. That’s no joke either–Dolly Parton has been very plainspoken about her support for the LGBT community.

Let’s fund something like this.

A lot of boat caulk is black, because it looks like tar. Does this mean that by using it I have sold my soul to Satan?

I wouldn’t touch his ilk with a bargepole, you don’t know where it’s been.

Most domestic plumbing fittings nowadays are all-female. Blame Home Depot and its promotion of al things Sapphic.

Going down the rabbit hole doesn’t seem to be mentioned in the Bible, they’re OK with that.

I interpreted it as the father trying to protect the child from a reality that is far too brutal for them to change - while there may be a time to rail against society’s injustices, in this case it would just make things worse for the family. Guido never directly opposes the system, but he undermines and ridicules it at every step. The scene is also tragic because it shows the lie of those who would like to let ‘free speech’ allow people to exclude groups from their small part of society. It’s not about banning random groups of people, there are very specific people that would be systematically marginalised and it would directly play into the hands of the powerful (for example, liberals shunning this store would probably lead to more tangible support from the right, while banning Christians from a store would be a good way to ensure that it doesn’t survive).

Always relevant:

“You don’t like the Goths?"
“No! Not with the persecution we have to put up with!”
“Persecution?”
“Religious persecution. We won’t stand for it forever.”
“I thought the Goths let everybody worship as they pleased.”
"That’s just it! We Orthodox are forced to stand around and watch Arians and Monophysites and Nestorians and Jews going about their business unmolested, as if they owned the country. If that isn’t persecution, I’d like to know what is!”
