No military role in U.S. election, top general reassures voting public

If he lost, he’ll go or be forced to. I imagine its the Secret Service who’s job it is to secure the White House will insure the turnover. Once the new pres is sworn in, the White House will be made secure for the new admin, and that includes escorting trump out to maralago.

No worship from me, I was referring to the training standards. Looking at the stats for which agencies are killing and injuring civilians in the US, the military still seems like the lesser of those evils. The hope is that they don’t fall for the administration’s attempts to portray protesters as the enemy. None of the veterans I know are happy about the behavior of the folks cracking heads and shooting unarmed people across this country. They are disgusted and angry - unlike the former cops, who make excuses for it.

Wow, if the Army is actually shooting people from TSA, ICE and CBP you guys are in what is known as a “civil war”.
Those tend to be pretty nasty. I hope it doesn’t come to that.

I seem to recall the US military training and supporting thugs for dictatorial regimes. The standards are flexible, hey?

I get the feeling they don’t pass along the whole playbook. Wouldn’t be surprised if there was a separate standard of training for that scenario.
