That’s exactly what Dr. LaPook said. If he was asked to describe an ideal passing, it would be at a still spry 101, surrounded by loved ones, being reminded of the monumental things you did for society.
People younger than 50 or 60, who are interested in old TV, I think, can never truly grok what a titanic shift took place at the line marking pre-Lear and post-Lear. You had to be there.
