The thing is, it probably costs Verizon almost nothing to give folks free reasonable connectivity in the affected areas. The infrastructure is there and presumably under utilized. I’m which they’d be getting kudos instead of criticism. I doubt this decision even makes sense economically.

They just need to have a bunch of customers cancel subscriptions once they reach safety.
It might mean having to endure ATT for a bit, but it will send a message.

Interesting. I live in the path of the storm in NC and Verizon has given customers in the affected areas 10 days of free data. No, really. Not sure what OP did to piss them off but they sent out notifications.
