Why would they do that? Still I guess it would be better to get photo-shopped than to actually have to stand near the little troll. Those folks really need a hobby of some kind.

It would be interesting to see how an actual North Korean who spoke English really well would translate it. I bet it comes off as less clunky and dumb sounding. They must have taught the eventual leader of the country how to say words good. I read that and I’m just like No Way. They obviously didn’t translate the idioms much(?). Well, any. Of course it’s still probably crazy gibberish, but the original couldn’t have been that nonsensical.

From what I can tell, English and Korean phonetics have never even been in the same room. One of my classmates spoke good English, but would pronounce “plywood” as “brai ud” (which delighted me).

I used to know a guy here in Japan who had a nork passport and identity. According to him their propaganda really is that bad. Even in Hangul.

All I know is that according to the middle aged woman who always appears as the official announcer for North Korean News, the language is meant to be said in a booming voice meant to make what few animals around which have not been eaten to exclaim, "WHAT THE HELL IS THAT! RUN!!!"
