Semi-automatic handguns were the weapon of choice for underworld figures and prices have risen from $2000-$4000 to more than $15,000, a senate inquiry into illegal guns heard on Monday.

When Hillary says she isn’t going to “get rid of guns” she’s lying. Based on her track record on truth telling, I think that’s an accurate statement.

None of the candidates in either of the US major party primaries came anywhere close to suggesting even the minimal controls on gun ownership found in the least-regulated of the non-US developed nations.
The idea that any of them would push for Australian-level gun regulation (which is still not a complete ban) is ludicrous; the claim that they would attempt to completely eliminate gun ownership is deluded.
