Even in states with legalized weed and many, many legal cannabis stores, there’s STILL a black market. That’s a head scratcher to me.
Many people have made the case that with heavy taxation, legal weed is more expensive than the black market. But I swear I used to pay outrageous sums of money for a black market product that was smaller in quantity and with dubious quality control. Here in Oregon producers are required to assay the quantity of the psychoactive ingredients using an independent research firm.
And before the pandemic out-shadowed everything, there was a spate of incidences where black market cannabis vape juice was destroying people’s lungs.
