very frustrating that a person who’s supposed to be a journalist will not accept responsibility for her own shoddy reporting. Bush and Cheney lied, but Judith Miller lied too by taking their lies as truth and then publishing them as if they were truth. Our government has lied over and over. Did she not know about Gulf of Tonkin? How about the ridiculous lies surrounding 911? How could she just take what the US government was feeding her without doing any investigative work on her own? She’s not a journalist, she’s a marketing arm for the CIA and US military. The sooner she owns that the sooner she can work to become a real journalist.

There will always be warmongers pushing some conflict or another. That’s why it’s so important that we don’t let the institutions like the Times off the hook—they should have provided the kind of objective reporting that might have given the opposition a chance to counter the administration’s false narrative.
