Yeah, all those things were pre-conditions to charges being filed, but still didn’t guarantee charges by any means. What will be even more remarkable is if there are convictions and even more remarkable than that, convictions resulting in actual prison time. (I’m not holding my breath.)
Peter Liang, who carelessly killed a guy and then texted his union rep before calling for help is getting no jail time. Considering that this was just a beating up and not manslaughter/negligent homicide, I’m not holding my breath either.
