I think this says everything about the direction that things are going for the youngsters. Boomers got to have actual houses, GenX and Millennials got to build their dream homes in The Sims. Now GenZ gets to decorate their virtual bedroom and pretend they have roommates

It agreed with the Home Office’s position that since she was technically entitled to Bangladeshi citizenship, it wasn’t legally obliged to allow her to keep her UK rights.

Lots of people are technically entitled to citizenships, but that doesn’t mean their current one can be yanked because it’s convenient. Until (if!) she gets another citizenship, they’ve created a stateless person, which is against a treaty that the UK has probably signed. (Technically I’m entitled to a UK citizenship, but I’ll never apply for one.)

NYC production vs the The Anne Authority of Spud-Island.

In the New York lawsuit, however, the producers claim Anne is “as much in the public domain as are Shakespeare’s plays.”

They doth protest too damned much. The complaint is clearly over trademarks, not copyright. The Anne of Green Gables novel is in public domain, but they want to call their production Anne of Green Gables: A New Musical, and there are existing trademarks on Anne of Green Gables and Anne of Green Gables: The Musical.

This so lame that it’s probably a PR stunt.

So Anne With An “A”: The Musical

That would get around two trademarks!

 Looked like testing of a PortableGarage™ for luxury vehicles (or for those of us with regular cars who are tired of dealing with tree branches, twigs, leaves, seeds, and pollen getting into the damnedest places).
