But then you’re working…
If possible, try going to or calling the box office directly. We skip those types of fees around here by doing that.
Don’t they have an after-event party?
“Now both Democrats and Republicans are sending letters to top Biden officials asking them to tell Japan to give Xbox a bigger share of their market.”
LOL. Good luck with that.
That’s pretty fucking rich considering they are talking about Microsoft, a company very keen on maintaining its own monopolies and using closed-gardens and exclusive deals all the damned time
And Microsoft absolutely dominates Japan’s OS and office suite industries, to boot.
The US auto industry is always pulling these kinds of stunts too because they can’t (or rather, can’t be bothered to) compete with Japanese kei-cars, as though that’s not more of a “them” problem.
Microsoft: “waaahhh. Japan won’t let us monopolize the gaming console industry the way we have desk tops and office software. Make them stop! Waaaahhh”
Also, now I want a gold-plated bullhorn.
Doesn’t usually work that way. The box office will tell you to contact TicketMaster.
Had to look that up:
Yep - larger venues very much only go through ticketmaster for that… you can certainly do that at smaller venues, but not for larger concerts like this one.
I’ve been surprised at quite a few smaller venues too taking that route. My sense is, if you have an actual staffed box office, why wouldn’t you sell tickets there? But because the computers snap up all the seats virtually immediately, there’s no way for the box office to have any seats left available for sale.
The whole regime really does make the whole thing a shitty hassle. Like… it’s maybe just better to go to a local, small venue and see some newish, local band that hasn’t been swept up in the current round of centralization of the live music industry…
Don’t tell their PR team, it would make them sad…
