There’s that conservative essentialism again. They’re terrified of being labelled racist because they understand that makes them a Bad Person and Bad People get punished. There are no good people who sometimes do bad things, or otherwise good people who were raised with a few bad beliefs that they acted on. Only Good People and Bad People. When faced with trying to explain how the perpetrators of the Tulsa Race Massacre were actually Good People, his ideology implodes and this spaghetti logic is all he has left.
Walters’ views are the more disturbing when you consider that he was teaching AP History at the high school in his hometown of McAlester three years ago. His YouTube channel includes an April 2020 virtual class that seemingly would violate his ban. Walters today would call what he taught then indoctrination.

It wouldn’t be surprising. Conspiracy theorists (and there’s a lot of research on this) never believe just one. When you dig a little, they always also end up being antivax, 9/11 Truthers and Just Asking Questions about everything. It’s a whole way of thinking and seeing the world that is different than reason and rationality that they apply to everything.
