There has been reporting about the transfer of responsibility for managing payments to Ukraine away from career staffers who might resist the hold on payment because it was illegal, to trump appointed staff who would happily do crimes with trump. Now it seems one of the non-appointed staff came forward under cover of subpoena to testify - ON SATURDAY!

its time to start politely recommend to the GOP senators that they go have a talk with trump and persuade him to resign quietly because they can’t stop him from being burned in the impeachment trial.
