As far as I understood the article, they created some artificial proteins similar to those of the virus, the so-called spike proteins, and they will use it in order to boost the body defenses.

How did they know if there was Coronavirus or not when they werenât testing for it until recently?

Itâs only in the last week that the entire United States has passed that number. (It is ramping up fast. It had better.)

My genuine fear is that Trump and the GOP will leverage off any level of success here and push for less FDA oversight for ANYTHING in the future. That should make Big Pharma happy⊠and enough to shell out even more lobby-bucks.

I wouldnât bet on that. Big Pharma likes a high bar for drug approval. A high barrier to entry means less competition from small companies. The big companies are already optimized to work in the existing regulatory environment.
