I feel like instead of getting a government, we got someone else’s toddlers foisted upon us to babysit for four years.
Can we use this as a “teachable moment” and convince them learning from their mistakes is a good thing?

Well, looking at the Johns Hopkins online tracker, they have a point.
Whether they are right I’d say the jury is still out, and it’s far too soon to tell.
Maybe. On the one hand, what’s happening now exposes systemic problems in a way that is hard to ignore. On the other hand, humans are really good at falling back into established patterns and rationalizing that successfully with the flimsiest of excuses. We’ll see. It should be the chance to set the odd wrong right.
