We need to be careful about people spinning the opposite story out of this. Here in Europe, some assholes turned stories like this around and promoted the idea that Italy’s north was hit so hard because of air pollution, and other areas wouldn’t see many cases (!) and no fatalities (!) because they weren’t as polluted.
Hence, we would not need to worry about “the Chinese virus”.

You know the type.

I wanted to suggest to be very aware of it, debunk it and tell them to STFU if necessary. I’m trying to do that, at least.

(FTR, I assumed that was self-evident, but that’s surely because I already had the displeasure. Two weeks ago. My brother, no less. Tried to argue, didn’t work, had to cut off the exchange and told him to stuff it. )

We made a supply run on Saturday. Mostly animal feed, but a brief stop for human feed (and drink) as well. Since we were hitting farm supply places, I was quite curious to see the latest retail behavior of people outside my demographic. While my sample size was small and my methodology shoddy as hell, I can report that it was primarily millennials sans PPE and/or acting carelessly. The older cohorts, regardless of the demographic they appeared to belong to, were mostly being quite careful. Much to my surprise, I might add.
