I donāt know, but maybe itās just reassurance for Alice that she can have an extra level of privacy, by blocking certain āevenings at homeā (nudge nudge) when she doesnāt want any record kept. Not that it would be helpful for Alice to do that, but it might make her more willing to opt in.

I really found this NYT article to be timely. When we get through this we need to remember our essential workers are underpaid and that means they tend to be women, migrants (like the fruit pickers Europe is losing its shit about now) and minorities. We need to pay them more, esteem them more, and quit overpaying useless fucking lawyers, finance fuckers, and tech bros.
