They arent the first ones to try this move.

Tthe headlines says roughly :

Brazilian citizen sues president of China for compensation of R $ 5 billion to Brazil.
Lawyers heard by the newspaper O Estado de SĂŁo Paulo believe that the lawsuit is inadmissible, let alone through popular action.

You should definitely let them know of your discomfort with their choice of verbiage.

Perhaps a strongly worded letter to the editor will make you feel better?

John Oliver spent 20 minutes ranting about virus denying wingnuts (the moment he highlighted at 16:01 is extra stupid)

Let’s check in on said wingnuts for a second

Probably hard to make much progress in her “equine” class by Zoom. (And is this really a thing in Phoenix public schools? Awesome if so.)

From the article:

“This virus is affecting the lungs, but it appears to be causing inflammation of the whole body,” Dr. Viren Kaul, a pulmonary critical care specialist at Crouse Health and an assistant professor of medicine at SUNY Upstate Medical University, told ABC News.

Nominative determinism strikes again

To us they’re heros, to Republicans they are the enemy.

This is not a recent development.

WHYY, do you think that would make any difference?

(OTH, around here, I hope it to be be worthwhile pointing out (again) that the basis for The Great Toilet Paper Shortage of early 2020 is, likely, a change in consumer behaviour towards home sittings and just-in-time delivery chains. I am a bit
infatuated with the idea that mutants here enjoy some uncharmin comments on verbiage.)

Obrador has finally shut things down (apparently), and now the “business community” is really galvanized to take him down?

Specifically they’re complaining about the lack of a stimulus, but maybe they should have been spending their efforts agitating for a shutdown first.

Dialog by George Lucas:

(Sorry George, that was a little harsh.)

Got this this morning (in a translated version). Tried to find the original source, don’t think this is it. But I like it.

Disclaimer: yeah, some companies like this one put their logo on pandemic viral stuff. Clicked it to check and to spare you the click. This seems to be a T-shirt shop/chain specialised on ‘geeky’ shirts. Whatever. Video is nice. Want more like it. Would be worth a viral meme party just with artwork, a bit like the pre-Raphaelite meme collections floating around.
