Fucking case in point: We had a fire drill in our building yesterday and the āFire Safety Teamā from each floor had to go to a pre-meeting with a Saftey Consultant (retired firefighter) to learn about our duties. Iām the āMale Searcherā so I had to go. So this guy, responsible for helping understand how to effectively respond to a fire emergency* in our building wraps up the session by spewing Fox News talking points about Corona. YESTERDAY, March 12, 2020, the same day the mayor declared the city in a state of emergency, this guy is like āItās a flu, a flu, listen, the flu has already killed more peopleā¦blah, blah, blahā meanwhile heās pushing 70, and about 350lbs on a good day. fucking hell.
After that, the fire drill happened and we all congregated in the elevator bay for a 2 minute talk about stairwell fucking D. Social Distancing? whatās that?
*P.S. heās also our EAP consultant, which means any emergency other than fires, including, you guessed it āchemical and biological contamination!ā
