stainless steel fridges are very pretty and, unfortunately, non magnetic. ( they also get marked up with fingerprints really easily. which at first seems like a problem, until you realize you can finally figure out who drank the last of the milk )

This year we added a flat magnetic whiteboard to our fridge. It was a game. changer. I actually thought my fridge might already be whiteboard-writable, but it’s not (fridges should be) but that 16"x12" magnetic sheet board has transformed our leftover / expiring ingredients tracking.
