did i ever tell you about the time i saw Tim Minchin last year in LA, and Hugh Laurie was three seats behind me? Noone bothered him, but the funniest part was when a young woman walked past him, did a triple take, pointed at Hugh, and almost collapsed.

He looked surly

At first, I thought that it was some Beyonce reference, since the tumblr feeds in my RSS reader often featured folks referring to her as their BAE…
I wasn’t the only one Where Did "Bae" Come From? | What the Hell is Up with ‘Bae’?

Edit there is even a t-shirt, so I’m not totally OLD.

My suspicion about “on fleek” is that the kids don’t get this one either and are just trolling us.

I often, especially this year, feel like I am in a monty python skit.

“I’m not old, I’m 37”.
“well I can’t just call you Man”
“You could call me Dennis”

And I think you are right: as I trolled in my youth, I too will be trolled in my dotage.

By Jupiter, I haven’t witnessed such raucous monkeyshines in the social theater since Eddy Foy mistakenly doffed his cap to a Unitarian’s wife. Eh, boyo?
