i finally read about this the other day, and … wow. it’s hard to believe anyone takes it seriously as even an intellectual what-if. ( have they not even played the paperclip game? no one gets out alive. )

tbf, religions are typically less about thought than about belief and practice. ( it does seem very american of them to have a religion that tells you to do exactly what you wanted to do already. )
