What’s going on in Pakistan right now - 1000+ dead, tens of millions homeless - is both extremely upsetting but also a disturbing portent of what climate change is going to keep doing to both the Indian subcontinent but much of the rest of the planet, too. The impact of climate change on the ice in the Himalayas by itself is going to cause both flooding and drought - coupled with heavy rains in lower regions, you get multiple nightmares happening simultaneously.

I just saw the news that loss of ice in Greenland alone means a guaranteed minimum 27cm sea level rise, no matter what is done at this point to control greenhouse gases. (And there’s a lot more ice melting than just Greenland’s…)

Going out in baggy pants and also saving the 600,000ish cattle is a little much. Wow.
