NWS has figured out how to Twitter!
Stay dry @anon61221983
And @noahdjango
Although I will say that’s kayaking weather. Chattooga, Chauga, Section Zero, Overflow Creek, Tallulah Gorge, Upper Hooch, Sweetwater Creek, the Dog, whatever that little creek is that flows under Akers Mill into the Hooch, etc., etc., etc. I used to get can’t-stay-in-my seat excited on days like that. (It’s been a while.)
And so it begins…
It was not as bad as that storm last week that dropped up to 4 inches on us… we have some ponds on our street, and the water did not get nearly as high yesterday as during that one.
I am concerned with the longer term, since it’s supposed to be raining for the rest of the week on and off. The ground getting drenched could mean downed trees and intown will certainly have flooding issues. Stay dry, @noahdjango!
