We and nearly every one of our neighbors would go into houses while they were being framed exactly like Arbery did.

When I was a kid, we used to routinely raid local construction sites and steal drywall to smash up and use as chalk.

Never got in trouble for it, but of course: I’m white.

Construction tourists are a fact of life unless you have a fully fenced site.

I bet many of the neighborhood residents had also entered the construction site to “see what’s happening”.
