Pandemic Baking: I made bagels for passover

because oranges are not chametz

Aren’t we Jews known for a sense of humor? To everyone complaining about the headline, seriously, let it go. The exodus is nothing but a myth and traditions are not laws.

Good luck out there, enjoy your matzoh. I like it gefrishte with butter and salt!

We should do this every year. A Boing Boing Thread of Affliction.

That sort of thing might be how we all got into this mess.

“Why is this thread different from all other threads?”

“Why does the rabbi’s picture have mouths for eyes?”

“I dipped my food once and it still isn’t ■■■■■ enough.”

“Just look at that matzoh.”

“Came for the bagels. Disappointed.”

In the tradition of who is “allowed” to mock a religion or culture, yeah membership in that group has typically been a license to do so.

No supposing necessary. You absolutely do. But if you take advantage of it then you’re in a bit of irony.

Hi! I made this recipe - and the results were incredibly delicious. However, the second batch of bagels were fatter - but seemed a bit waterlogged. So much so that some of the water actually got in some of the nooks and crannies - and didn’t dry up when baking.

What did I do wrong?!?!?

Thanks!
