This is why I really wish the DNC would start supporting actual radical liberals and socialists. After years of the GOP labeling every dem a socialist, it wouldn’t make a difference. They’d use the same talking points and the same people would be scared by the threat of commies, but we might also get someone genuine progressive policies.
Then I remember the DNC just wants centrist (and center-right) neoliberal candidates that cater to their wealthy donors and pour myself another

I saw a bit where she was asked if Senators should be allowed to sell stocks, and her response was all “American dream!” Which was bullshit, but kind of ironic bullshit, because what, is the American dream to marry a rich dude and then get in a position to make serious money with insider trading?
Yeah, but of course the facts don’t matter. This is the Trump era - they don’t care about the reality, just whether something can be used as a rhetorical bludgeon. Her base eat that shit up because they don’t know what any of that is, either, and that’s all that counts.
Yeah, I keep thinking that, too. Moderate and even conservative politicians (and not just Democrats) are now being labeled socialists. It doesn’t actually matter what the Dem’s policies are, they’re going to be tarred with the same brush and have some other policy ascribed to them. Only Democrats are even remotely dealing with reality, now, Republicans are responding purely to right-wing propaganda and its straw men. So any kind of policy discussion isn’t aimed at Republicans at all.

I get that he is above such chicanery - and he would be lambasted for being uncharitable or un-christian. But these folks have such thin skin it would be entertaining to say the least.
