Trump’s only defense right now is to remain President. I don’t think he can afford to give up. He has to fly this plane all the way into the crash.
Yeah… I’m 90 percent sure there is no combination of domestic policies Pence could enact that would be worse than the international conflicts and constitutional crises Trump is courting

Well “stroke out” does not mean to give up. It means to die of a stroke.
It’s possible that for some charges they had a hard paper trail of evidence and on others they only had circumstantial evidence and hearsay. Some of the crimes seem really easy to prove, he had a bank account that received money from a foreign government and he didn’t register as a foreign agent. Maybe some of the other charges required the prosecution to prove intent instead of just actions.
A good judge should instruct the jury to consider each count independently and to not assume just because he was guilty of one count he is guilty of all the others.
If you’re female, a person of color, vote for any political party that isn’t the GOP, aren’t heterosexual or aren’t a “Christian”, there’s plenty of room for Pence and a GOP controlled Congress and SCOTUS to do all kinds of permanent harm.
