Pentagon launches UFO task force

I like the idea of citing grandiose Neoclassical government buildings with semi-basements as “proof” of this “Mudflood”.

In other news, it didn’t take me long to spot a UFO. It was right the thumbnail for the next story on my BoingBoing page.

At this point they’d have to do a joint press conference with the aliens and broadcast it from the Moon for anybody to care. Flying saucers are so 1993.

No, wait—flying saucers are so 1973. The conspiracy stuff in the '90s was cashing in on nostalgia.

If experience tells me anything, they’d better develop laser weapons by the first terror mission because fuck Chrysalids.

Wow…that video is absurd to the extreme. Love how he oh so casually interjects the word “probably” multiple times. Would love to hear the “explainer” do a new one AFTER listening to Cmndr. Fravor and some of the other eyewitnesses who were actually there, and SAW with their own eyes. Couple of things: Prior to 2 of these sightings, sailors on the Nimitz had been observing these things on radar and through binoculars for weeks…on the “go fast” video the pilots reported seeing a x shaped object just below the surface of the water with the “go fast” object making rapid zig zag motions back and forth above it. “Go fast” then rocketed upwards in the blink of an eye and the pilots attempted to give chase, and you can also hear on the tape one of the pilots talk about how there are “dozens of them” not on camera. Also, the lead pilot reported that the “go fast” was actively jamming his radar…you think a bird or a balloon can do that?!? I will take the testimony of the men and women who were actually there over some rando in his garage. NOT saying they prove de facto these are aliens but absolutely ridiculous to postulate a bird or balloon.

“I want to believe.”

Then just believe, that’s how it works.

Me? I want proof.

I used to love UFOs as a kid, couldn’t read enough about them and around 7th or 8th grade read my way right out of believing in them. I am still a bit skeptical on these videos, but have started poking ever so slightly at what new evidence has popped up in the last couple decades and it doesn’t appear to be much. But I like the calls for taking a shot at actually figuring some of this stuff out.

Mine has to be the Loch Ness Monster. Even though the original photographers admitted their hoax, a lot of people still believe it (and not just for financial reasons).

Guess I should add: “Start a harmless conspiracy” to my bucket list.

Me? I wish I could believe, but I can’t yet.

Wasn’t there a QAnon thing about NASA pedos kidnapping Earthling kids and shipping them to Mars for whatever? The Pentagon is obviously involved. As Slavs say, “A salmon rots from the head.” High-level involvement is guaranteed. Start tweeting.
