We can call it Bulger’s Law, after Whitey Bulger, gang boss and FBI informant. But there are surely other candidates as well: Bulger certainly wasn’t the only organized crime figure who had a sideline as an informant.

That type of thing has to be a legal agreement between people, lawyers, and the government. Because you want to be able to legally hold the government to its word and the governments wants to hold you to yours.

If you become a CHS, you’re just doing it 1) for the money, and 2) maybe you like the government?
