While it is true that women receive lighter sentences for most crime - statistics from sources like the US Department of Justice strongly reveal that with the exception of prostitution - men do a far greater proportion of crime.
When women do a crime which is considered transgressive to femininity, like murder, they are actually given much harsher and longer sentences than men who have done the same crime:

Yeah, totally, and I was speaking mostly generally. I tried to tie it all together by mentioning my dislike of the ādead beat dadā trope as well but I wasnāt clear enough.
Our support system in this country in general STINKS, and itās pathetic and sad.
Quite a lot of it ties right back to the āwar on drugsā. I mean thatās obviously not the only puzzle piece, of course. We done fucked our shit up good with that one. Good job, USA!
