Her new campaign logo would seem to imply she’s moving to the right again.

All we need is Bill Clinton with a Bryan Adams hairdo singing Summer of '69

Those pants! I had those striped pants! I was a great deal younger, and they probably wouldn’t fit any more, but I want those pants!

Her new campaign logo would seem to imply that she will mail herself into office rather than be elected.

Mail?

My wife went to Wellesley, as did Madeleine Albright (though not at the same time). When my wife grumbles about her teaching career, I cheerfully suggest she switch tracks and become Secretary of State. This never manages to earn a smile.

Looks like we are in for a couple of years of marketing.

And card-carrying communist…

She totally didn’t inhale either. She wouldn’t want to contradict her pro-prohibition stance. Blah. I weep to know that this is the person the Democrats are marketing to be the corporate sock puppet. Honestly, it is a great piece. Leftist will see a smart young lefty woman, Republicans will see someone who is basically a Republican, and everyone loves youthful pictures.

I really hope that someone on the left rises to challenge her. I am going to make empty threats to move to Canada if it is a fucking Clinton vs Bush election again. I would murder puppies to see a Warren vs Rand election.

From what party? The Democrats are centrist right and the Republicans are far right. There is no credible left in North America and there hasn’t been in generations.

I’m a socialist and I’ve never had anything but a local candidates whose politics I could get behind in my adult life.

At this point, Ronald Reagan’s zombie would be a dark horse candidate coming from the left compared the slate of shit we have been served.

There would have to be some great ones out there. In Howard Marks’ Mr. Nice he claims that Bill most certainly inhaled. They were in Oxford together and Marks supplied the hash.

PS: I’m sad to see that in January Marks revealed he has inoperable bowel cancer :

If anyone is looking for a riveting autobiography that doesn’t suck, read Mr. Nice. He spent 7 years in US federal prison for his ā€˜crimes’ so it’s a no holds barred account of his dealings as a drug trafficker in the 70s. Pretty interesting.

Seems it was made into a movie in 2010… I’ll have to check that out!

she’s moving to the right again.

Like any good corporatist right lackey does.

Meh, I find this guy much, much more interesting anyway…

Bernie Sanders will fight for us if we just get off our asses and support him:

Yep, ain’t but one viable national-level party these days, with two factions: The Big Business Party.

I’m a socialist and I’ve never had anything but a local candidates whose politics I could get behind in my adult life.

Born in India. :frowning:

I think she’s going to have a tough fight just to keep her city council seat in Seattle (now in a district rather than at-large), more’s the pity.

Ah, right. Just a fantasy anyway.

And yes, here’s hoping Seattle’s REAL progressives get behind her in the next election. :fingers crossed:

District 3 is the most progressive part of the city.

But do you vote for the socialist candidate, the gender equality candidate, the gay rights candidate or the racial equality one?

Shame they aren’t all running in separate districts. It’s almost as if someone wanted to split the vote.

Intersectionality!
