Pig cloning is fun, especially on an industrial scale

Industrially cloning pigs - the first factory I’ve heard of.

Criteria for cloning:

  1. Tastes good
  2. Yields more meat / useful for healthcare
  3. Looks cute

(3) is the kicker. My hamster was cute, but the longer it lived, the more I learned about how likely it is they develop one abhorrent condition or another until it dies. I can’t face another. I can only imagine wtf is going to happen to domesticated animals now.

This could be done anywhere, but happens to be China. Won’t be long before it’s everywhere.

Soon we’ll be saying - “Fido, stop reciting the Bill of Rights for Dogs at me - I know it, OK?”.

Good luck us.

China is basically the future LA that Blade Runner warned us about.

Kind of the first responders. So many others will follow suit.

They didn’t mention the fourth, secret criteria - fights better.

Honestly, why anyone ever sneers at sci fi writers I just don’t know. Seems to me their predictions are just comin’ true, true, true.

Did you see that other BBC article I posted, the “roboweb” or whatever? Oh, it’s a bright future, alright!
