IIRC early versions of Minecraft all played in the browser.

Looking at it, it kind of amazes me there was much interest at the early stages. There’s not really anything there - no interesting environments to explore, awkward, limited construction (that also doesn’t have much purpose, as the environment is empty and static)… It also makes me wonder how much of the core game was entirely due to feedback.
