“We can win with white suburbanites, forget minorities” was always the crude and presumed-unfair joke about Dem centrists/moderates in general.
Tonight’s shaping up to be a big test of that, in Florida.

A Biden win in Florida would have been the best hope for an early resolution, but no one ever thought it was a safe bet. This doesn’t change the overall picture, especially if (as seems likely) it is down to a localised Spanish-language propaganda blitz focused on one atypical local community.
It does mean this would be a good time to take your xanax and go to bed

Should pollsters be looking for a new job? I don’t see any reason for the DNC to hire these firms beyond a convenient way to transfer campaign money into private hands.
As for the news media, they only need the polls to grab attention, they don’t have to actually reflect the final result. How many of us are looking at the results coming in and trying to wrap our head around it not lining up? Making up excuses like late counting of mail-in ballots will fix the 10 point lead Trump has in Michigan? ridiculous.
But, let’s face it, anyone who thinks Joe Biden is a socialist has…issues.
