Popular midcentury CorningWare pattern is back

I could go for a plate o’ shrimp right now.

Or better yet, a cornflower blue Corning Ware dish o’ shrimp.

Some of the most-used dishes in our house are the old Fire King (Anchor Hocking) handled chili bowls, yet another relic of the oven-to-table era.

I love the design of those things. I’ve been hitting the glassware aisles of thrift shops in the last few years, picking up a treasure here and there. I’ll have to cross my fingers and keep an eye out for some chili bowls like that.

If you’re lucky, sometimes you can find them with the matching lids. Nice for storing leftovers.
