More like satiated. That’s the look every baby has after eating.

Not fast enough with my camera to get him looking in the window, totally uninterested in me.

The other two were going around back.

Is it a Coyote?

Two from a family of three whose territory includes my parents’ property.

Their range is remarkable. I seem to recall that you’re in New Mexico. They’re also quite at home in northern Illinois – even in the middle of major cities like Chicago – and northwest Indiana (much more rural) as well.

I think they’re in NYC, too?

That one looking at the camera looks like Wile E. Coyote. Also, @Ratel 's coyotes look far more healthy than Long Beach (CA) coyotes.

Close, southern AZ.

Basically North America minus Newfoundland and the Caribbean.

My parents live close to the mountains, and their coyotes do seen particularly large and shaggy. I live in midtown and ours, while very numerous (lots of cats and small dogs to eat) tend to be pretty ratty. I think they get a lot of diseases from dogs, particularly mange.

I was surprised to discover that coyotes are actually much more closely related to grey wolves (and dogs) than many other “wolf” species.
