Many birds continue to feed their juveniles for some time after they leave the nest. Every morning my fence is lined with young finches waiting to be fed by their parents.
After I worked out that those legs in the top-left are actually ears, I figured out what it was.
FLUFFY BEES. That is all.
I know. I have seen swallows on fences or lining the gutters and eaves of buildings but never in reeds. It made life hard for the parents as the young ones were bouncing up and down on the weak stalks.

Went to my daughter’s apartment for tea this afternoon, and saw an entire line of various very cute duck statues. Why? Because a friend knows she’s been feeling sick for a few weeks – we think it’s a parasite, but so far she keeps testing negative for all of them – and keeps sending them to her to cheer her up.
One duck in particular, however, stood out to me. Just look at it:
"You're gonna need a bigger kayak."
