I might be very late to the game, but I was sure that I was still able to read the old Disqus comments. I went to an old post, and not only are no comments, but the comments link just points back to the BB post, not to the comments. It could be the same case for the Discourse-era comments, but I haven’t checked. Are the old comments gone for good?

We have them all, going back to 2007 (Movable Type 4!) and one day they will probably be shown on posts again. The original comments (2002-2004 or thereabouts) are still archived at quicktopic but they are … low quality, to say the least. They are a historical record that all this *sweeps arm over the internet* was an unevenly distributed future that was already here.
