Avoid tunnels and wear seatbelts.

“This relentless pursuit, lasting over two hours, resulted in multiple near collisions involving other drivers on the road, pedestrians and two NYPD officers,” the spokesperson said.

Wouldn’t pulling over to a halt been the more sensible option. I presume Captain Hewitt’s boy has a bodyguard?

Not if the pap’s are trying to cause an accident to get pictures of it, no.

Or driving directly to a police station; they are famous, rich, and he’s White - chances are good they would not be shot on sight.

Surely that’s an even better reason to park up?

They drove to a police station and hid in there after multiple paps did not pull over and seemingly tried to cause an accident. After being at the police station for 70+ minutes, they did a car switcheroo and the paps chased the old car.

The short answer is, they DID call 911. The pap’s were being pursued by and not pulling over for cops.

So, the photographer is going to ram the subject’s car and then photograph the result? Is that an expected outcome?

I’m sure that Megan could cover herself up to avoid her skin tone frightening the cops in to a lethal response.

I did that once, and the car followed me into the police lot. When I talked to the officer who was there, he went to the other car and talked to them, and then came back to me and said “well, I don’t know what to tell you, but all the men in that car are off-duty police officers. So what do you want to do?”

I wasn’t born yesterday. But at least that got them off my tail.

Is this a weird English way of killing folks that marry into royal family?

Y’know, that’s a helluva lot of speculation, especially considering that this isn’t 1997; there are cameras everywhere and people are more litigious than ever… not to mention, if the intent was that malicious, there is no guarantee that the paparazzi would have been uninjured in a crash they intentionally caused.

The world is often an unstable, frightening place, but it must be awful to live in such a state of irrational fear constantly.

Word; I was born at night, but not last night.

Glad your encounter ended with you being safe.

Simple. Drive to the local police department and park in their lot. It beats getting anyone killed via idiocy.

maybe…

This is what they did. They also had police escorts the whole time and the paps didn’t pull over or yield for the emergency vehicles. Read the article.
