I get a sensation that Amazon is distancing itself from Ring by letting this leak out. “Hey now,” Amazon iss saying, “we actually are on your side! Ring was a lot creepier before we came along, and we want you to think we’re making them more ethical than they were before! And don’t think about Alexa snooping on you, that’s not related at all, nuh uh!”
